Bengaluru, Jan 28: Tejaswini, bereaved wife of former union minister, Ananth Kumar, said that she has finally decided to take a plunge into politics. She recollected that her husband had said in the past that one among them needs to be in politics, and therefore she wants to follow his advice.
Although Tejaswini, wife of the late Ananth Kumar, had initially decided against entering politics after his untimely demise, she said she changed her decision because of pressure brought by the people and the advice of her husband. She expressed the desire to fight from the city (south) constituency earlier represented by her husband continuously, if the party so desires.
"I had planned to continue to serve the society through my 'Adamya Chetana' organization. But many have urged me through pleas and demands to come to politics. I also kept remembering my husband's words on this issue. In order to pursue the dream and wishes of my husband, I have decided to be associated with political field," she explained.
She said that even senior party leaders had expressed the opinion that she should foray into politics to meet the aspirations of her late husband. She said she would be available if the party decides to field her from her husband's pet constituency.
