Kundapur, Jan 27: Two persons were brutally murdered at Kota on late night of Saturday, January 26.
Bharat Poojary, an auto rickshaw driver, died on the spot while Yatish Kanchan, who worked as personal assistant to politician Rakesh Malli till recently, died later at the hospital after they were attacked by a gang.
As per details available, the deceased were assaulted after arguments on toilet pit issue.

Harish Reddy, Rajashekhar Reddy and Chandrasekhar Reddy, who are brothers and believed to the main suspects in these murders and four other suspects fled from the place, sources said.
Lohith Poojary from Barekere had bought a house at Manur recently. The Reddy brothers have their house next to it. When Reddy brothers were trying to dig a toilet pit close to Lohith’s well, he had objected. When Reddy brothers did not listen to him, then Lohith complained to health department and panchayat. Angered by this, Reddy brothers threatened Lohith with dire consequences.
Lohith had gone for a function on Saturday night. When he was returning, he found some persons waiting for him at Kota town in a car. He rushed home and phoned Yatish Kanchan and Bharat Poojary to come for the rescue. When they arrived, the gang, who was waiting in a car, attacked them, When Bharat died on spot, Yatish was rushed to the hospital, He breathed his last on the way.
It is claimed that the murders were pre-planned. Harish and Rajashekhar are rowdy sheeters and face many cases. Chandrashekhar Reddy too was involved in many troubles caused to people while he was drunk.
