Moodbidri: Two arrested - stolen motor bikes recovered

Moodbidri, Jan 23: The police here have succeeded in recovering two motor bikes, which had been stolen from Vidyagiri and Kodyadka respectively about two months back, and arresting the two persons, who have accused of stealing them.

The arrested persons are Manjunath (24), a resident of Gandhinagar here, and Imran alias Putta, who stays at Daddi Cross here.

 

Police inspector of the town station here, Dejappa, was involved with scrutinising the vehicles along with other staff near Gandhinagar here on Tuesday when he found a motor bike without a number plate with two persons in it. During their questioning, the riders revealed that the motor bike was stolen. Another motor bike was also recovered from their possession latter.

A police release said that further action is being taken under the guidance of Mangaluru city police commissioner and other senior officials of the department.

The theft was registered in the CCTV camera installed in Bharath Chicken Stall at Vidyagiri in the town. The footage recorded therein also helped the police in their investigation, it is gathered.
