Kundapur, Jan 20: Amasebailu police have busted the network of the gang that was transporting cattle, from Jaddinagadde of Amasebailu, Siddapura near here, in an Omni towards Mangaluru and arrested two person and rescued seven cattle. This operation was conducted on the wee hours of Saturday, January 19.
As per definite information, the team led by Amasebailu SI Shekhar along with Shankar S and home guard Manju who were making rounds, stopped an Omni for checking at around 1.40 am and unearthed the illegal trafficking of the cows.

The arrested are Srinivas Shetty, a resident of Gurpur Kaikamba and Ashraf, a resident of Ganjimutt. Asif and Navid, both residents of Ganjimutt escaped during the operation. It is learnt that the gang was transporting cattle via Nagu Kotari and Krishna Kotari of Amasebailu.
A case in this regard was filed at Amasebailu police station.
