If pipeline is not an option, installation of speed controllers/governers with GPS trackers to detect violations should fix the issue.

This is mistake from tanker driver and mistake is done by humans still we have to be careful because before thinking of others safety first comes our own safety so others also comes under it...? careless driving should be stopped by R.T.O by putting huge fines on this heavy trucks for this kind cases..

MRPl does not supply lpg via tankers or railways. It deals onlywith HPCL so it is mostly from hpcl

I agree with your first part, other country's learn from mistakes. Preventive measures are better than cure.

Where as, here in our Country/State, sub standard training, as our training is not high lighting "Preventive measures - how to drive without accidents" and no proper theory as well as good practical training.

    Dear sir,.
This is an accident spot. Due to unscientific design of curves by the ENGINEER (road design provided by ENGINEER, uted by CONTRACTOR) accidents occurred .ROAD designer n consultants are responsible for such accidents.

Your comments, remind me of the saying, the guy who didn't know to dance, said the dance floor was bad. Have you seen these guys drive on the road. Firstly, they drive way beyond the maximum recommended speed, secondly, they don't drive in the designated lane, and thirdly, they don't respect any rules for overtaking. Please drive daily on the different tanker routes, and you will change your mind.

You are right on this. I am from the area. The Road banking is bad as a matter of of fact its the opposite of what its supposed to be. A driver new to this road no matter how cautious could loose control.

    @Ken,
Do agree drivers are bad but here the road is also very bad.

Still MRPL didn't listen to you Jossey bhai?? Thing is officials are in the cabins in the safety zone. Tankers move from there and fall somewhere else far away.. Public are in danger not they..

From Mangalore, HPCL transports LPG in bullet tankers, not MRPL.

This is absolutely the mistake of the driver. All the heavy duty vehicles including bus drivers, do not care for others as their lives are safe while driving.

Gas tankers carry hazardous liquid and the drivers should be trained well. Here lack of our own training also equally responsible for this type of accidents.

I think they should reduce bullet tanker size to half...
cost may be little high for transport but public welfare should be priority..

This is not a new thing. And the apathy of the authorities is not new either. And the suffering of the common man is the same age old thing

I suggest, there should be some kind of timings for takners and heavy loaded vehicles, so that others can drive/walk without any fear.

Recently how many tankers overturned. This has become routine. I think roads are not properly done. Curve may not be properly done for tanker. Traffic Police must find out.
