Hassan, Jan 17: "If BJP has got shame let them work for the betterment of people. Camping in hotel and enjoying is not right," said PWD minister H D Revanna.
Speaking to the media, Revanna vented his anger on BJP and said, "There is no trouble for the government. Coalition government is safe. People are facing hardship due to drought in the state. Let Yeddyurappa bring grant from the center and work for the welfare of the state. Otherwise, the public is going to teach them a fitting lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections."
"The state of Karnataka is facing severe drought. Several letters were written to the center in this regard by Devegowda. However, the central government has not bothered to respond to any of these letters. If the BJP has an ounce of respect, let them check the files," fumed the PWD minister.
Revanna further ridiculed BJP and said, "Yeddyurappa has shifted the state BJP MLAs to a resort in far away Haryana and looking after their well being. Let them be there for more days, we do not have any issue. But let them not only merry sitting in the hotel, but also work for the well being of the people of the state."
"Let Yeddyurappa forget the coalition government and look after Shobhakka (elder sister Shobha) properly. Let him get her a minister's position in the central government and protect the interests of the state. However, Yeddyurappa does not have any free time. He is busy in the work of guarding the MLAs of his party. I appeal with Modi and Yeddyurappa to at least given the responsibility of protecting the interests of the state to Shobha Karandlaje," concluded Revanna.
