Margao, Jan 4: The Quepem police have registered an offence against the Tourism Minister, Mr Francisco Pacheco and two others for allegedly forging the signature of Ms Sara Pacheco and selling a car. The offence has been registered under Sections 403, 407, 468, 420 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code.
The offence has also been registered against one Mr Punan Naik and an assistant director of transport who held this office at the Quepem RTO office in April 08.
Police informed that a complaint in this regard was lodged by Ms Sara Pacheco on Friday night alleging that her car was sold after forging her signature. The police are learnt to have collected the car document file from the Quepem RTO office. Further investigations are in progress, said police officials.
