Bengaluru, Jan 15: Relating to raids conducted by income tax (IT) officials on his residence and some other places sometime back, Sandalwood hero, Kichcha Sudeep, appeared before the IT officials for interrogation. Sudeep, who arrived at the IT office on Queens Road here, faced questions for a few hours on Monday January 14.
After coming out of the office, Sudeep told the media persons that there could have been mistakes and some mistakes on his part could have been quite huge. He asserted that he did not make any mistakes intentionally, adding that this incident has come as a warning to set right mistakes if any.
"We should strive to stand as an example for others. I do not say that I have committed mistakes. If the irregularity happened can be compared to a huge boulder, my contribution to it is minuscule. IT officials visit houses to conduct raids not to deliver invitations. It is up to us to be careful land mend our ways," he said.
Sudeep said that the investigation is continuing and it might take a few months to complete. He said that immediately after the raid, the officials had obtained some statements from him and that they wanted to obtain more such statements. They wanted to know whether I would like to make changes in my earlier statements. If they feel the need, I might be summoned again. As I was shooting for the film, 'Pailwan' during the raid, I had come here duly sacrificing two days of hooting. Therefore I could not return during that week," he explained.
At the same time, he refused to speak about the others.
