Bengaluru, Dec 31: A war of words on twitter is in progress between Congress leader and former CM Siddaramaiah and BJP leader and Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
It all started on December 30, with Siddaramaiah ridiculing the opposition for indulging in horse trading. The former CM questioned, “If you are not corrupt then how do you have Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore, which you are offering to coalition MLAs to join the party? What have you achieved as an opposition apart from efforts to pull down the coalition government?”
However, D V Sadananda Gowda was quick to hit back stating, “One who climbs the horse need not be terrible or brave. This is a new trick by your party to close the can of worms. Kannadigas are not fools to believe your speech.”
To this, Siddaramaiah took a dig at Sadananda Gowda and said, “You have told your experience correctly. Are you not the one who ran away after stepping down as CM in eleven months?”
To this Gowda lashed back with a series of pointers, asserting Congress won only 78 seats. He reminded Siddaramaiah he is not the chief minister and Kumaraswamy is chief minister by the grace of Congress high command and not his.
Gowda further said that the political dice thrown by Siddaramaiah is old and to look back before accusing someone else. He also questioned on loan waivers and also the developments by the coalition in the past seven months.
However, Siddaramaiah had a hilarious reply to Gowda’s questions. “I asked something and you are replying something. I am asking your own question, why did you not climb the horse given to you?”
Siddaramaiah questioned Gowda on why he lasted as CM for 11 months, railway minister for a year and later why was the portfolio of minister of law and order was taken away from him.
Why you left Puttur, then Udupi-Chikkamagaluru? Why are you in Bengaluru? Please tell me why you failed to climb the horse? Ridiculed Siddaramaiah.
