Bengaluru, Dec 31: “Around 156 taluks in the state are devastated due to draught. Several farmers are committing suicide. But chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has gone to Singapore to celebrate New Year,” said BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa.
Addressing a press meet at BJP office here, he called CM Kumaraswamy an ‘irresponsible’ chief minister. “His cabinet colleagues have gone to different places for celebrations. They tell stories if asked about loan waiver,” he said.
“Leaders of coalition government are fighting between themselves. Siddaramaiah repeatedly says in Mysuru that they made him lose the position of CM. The development of the state has taken a beating because of tussle between two party leaders. We are not making the government unstable. But we are not Sanyasis (godmen) to sit quietly if the government falls on its own. Anything can happen during the New Year in the state government due to dissatisfaction between Congress and JDS,” he said.
Referring to the tweet by Siddaramaiah he said that former chief minister is repeatedly giving statements that horse trading is going on through operation Kamala. “It is not good to make such statements after being former chief minister. If the government falls we will form the government and Siddaramaiah will be the leader of opposition,” he said.
