Mangaluru: Car rams into bike, rider seriously injured

Mangaluru, Dec 31: In yet another accident on Nanthur-Pumpwell road, a bike rider suffered serious injuries after a Ritz car rammed into his bike on Monday, December 31.

According to eye witnesses, the car came from the wrong side before ramming into the two wheeler.

The bike, once crashing to ground caught fire. The ill-fated two-wheeler was gutted due to the fire.

The seriously injured rider was rushed to a private hospital.

Kadri traffic police registered a case.

    Why buy a car worth 5 lakhs to save 1/2 litre of petrol? People drive on the wrong side instead of taking a U turn just to save 1/2 litre of petrol . Shows what kind of intelligent drivers we have in Mangalore.

    KL vehicles should be banned entering to Mangalore because of the rash and negligent driving many lifes are in danger. Strict action should be taken. Eve teasing has also become common in malls and in roads in Mangalore from keralites. Police should take this issue seriously and check the purpose of their visit to Mangalore.

    KL registration, our traffic department must give warning always while entering Karnataka border. Traffic police must ask the purpose of visiting. Some strict action will give some good response.

    dont blame on the states for registration.... of KL or KA etc... anyone doesn't do purposely.. it happens... but driver should drive carefully and take care.......

    What if they ban you from entering Mumbai?
    We as free citizens of India have the right to be anywhere in the country - for jobs, vacation, family visit, medical treatment, etc.
    Let us not retort to barbaric solutions for all problems.
    Driver at fault should be strictly punished.
    People have no respect for the law.
    Let us work towards enforcing the correct laws in a strict and correct manner.
    Number of accidents will automatically come down.
