Bengaluru, Dec 29: "New home minister M B Patil should be careful about BJP. BJP is expert in unnecessary flare-up of communal and emotional issues during the elections," warned KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Dinesh was speaking after partaking in the Foundation Day of Congress in the party office in city on Friday, December 28.
He further said, "Former home minister Ramalinga Reddy had done a commendable job during the recently held state assembly elections. Now M B Patil is competent to handle the home department. I am confident that he will be successful in his mission,"
"The rumours that making rounds in the media that an altercation had taken place between leader of the Congress legislature party Siddaramaiah and DCM Parameshwara are far from truth. No issue of this nature had occurred," clarified Dinesh.
'Nation wants Atal type of BJP'
"The country needs a BJP led by people like the former Prime Minister late Atal Bihar Vajpayee. The people of this nation do not want a BJP led by people like Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Dinesh further said, "PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah like the ideology of dictatorship and the one which is against the social justice. BJP MPs themselves were happy when the party lost in the recently held assembly elections in five states. There is no one in the BJP party to question these two leaders,"
"Certain people, who have not taken any part in the freedom struggle, the ones who did not sacrifice and do not believe in the Constitution of the country are urging to make the country 'Congress Mukth Bharat'. By saying 'Congress Mukth Bharat', they are going to finish off the media also. The country is in grave danger. The people of the country are slowly getting aware of the truth," Dinesh added.
Hanumanthappa lashes out openly against party leaders
Speaking on the occasion, H Hanumanthappa, senior leader and former MP, lashed out publicly against the state leaders of the Congress and said, "All are fighting for power in the Congress party. Only four months are left for the Lok Sabha elections. People who have won the assembly elections have not got the power to rule. People who have got the power are not satisfied with the allotment of portfolios. There are no activists and volunteers in the party. We are still in the horrible process of finding the chair,"
"Certain senior Congress leaders are not raising their voice against the BJP. Activists of the party are not getting proper guidance from the seniors. The words of seniors have no value in the party,” Hanumanthappa added.
New president of the promotion committee, H K Patil said, "As the Lok Sabha elections are round the corner, all have to work actively to make Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of the county. The party has nominated me as the president of the promotion committee. I will assume office soon."
