Bengaluru, Dec 28: Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has issued a notification that digital and smart wrist watches are banned in examination halls during SSLC examinations during this term.
There is provision to use only analog or mechanical wrist watches instead.
“Making use of watches is essential for students during writing of examinations. Therefore, wrist watches are allowed. However, if digital or smart watches are allowed, it will amount to encouraging students to indulge in malpractices.
"Therefore, students are not allowed to wear digital or smart watches. Supervisors in the examination centres will take action against violators,” said board president Dr P C Jafer in his communication.
