Mangaluru: Bandhuthva Christmas celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir

Mangaluru, Dec 26: As part of Christmas celebration, an intercommunity gathering and cultural programme 'Bandhuthva Christmas' was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir on Tuesday December 25.

Fr Sunil Joseph Veigas, parish priest, Fajir Church, presided over the stage programme.

Gangadhar Poojary, president Bhramashree Narayana Guru Seva Organisation, Fr Assisi D Almeida, M A Riyaz Faizi, Kathib, Malar Jumma Masjid, Sr Vijaya, Superior, Mother of Mercy Convent, Fajir attended as chief guests.

John Victor Mendonca, secretary of Parish Council, Santhosh Dsouza, convenor of cultural committee, were present on the dais.



All the leaders of the different commuinities conveyed the message of peace and stressed on communal harmony and humanity.

Prizes were presented to the different winners of the competitions.

A cultural programme by the school children and parish organisation was held along with a rib tickling Tulu drama 'Nikk Gothunda .. ?' by Vidhatri Troupe.

Roshan Dsouza, vice president of the parish council welcomed the dignitaries and guests. Josna Dsouza, secretary of the cultural comittee delivered the vote of thanks.

Well known emcee, Preetham Noronha compered the programme.
