Bengaluru, Dec 25: The city and coast in general experienced good rainfall coupled with lightning and thunder on the night of Monday December 24. However the rainfall was not enough to bring notable decrease in temperature.
The meteorological department has said that low pressure trough formed over Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Because of this phenomenon, coastal areas of Karnataka might receive rainfall for two days, it predicted.
"The trough formed over Bay of Bengal will not influence climatic situation in Karnataka significantly. But the one over Arabian Sea will have affect over the coast. Light to normal rainfall may be experienced in this region for three days beginning Monday," said Srinivas Reddy, director of Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre here.
He said that on account of the trough, there has been a reduction in temperature in Karnataka coast since the last some days while Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru and other places will have normal rainfall. Some districts might experience cloudy weather. Bengaluru too will have cloudy weather for next two days, he predicted.
