Udupi, December 23: Writer Dinesh Amin Mattu has alleged that Pejawar Math seer Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji gived confusing statements due to old age.
Speaking at the emblem launching ceremony of Ambedkar Yuva Jana Sene Udupi and blood bank inauguration programme at Bannanje Narayanaguru Mantapa on Sunday, December 23, Mattu said that the pontiff speaks for caste system as well as on ending discrimination. “Ending discrimination is impossible unless caste system is erased in society.”
“Muslims are invited for Iftar Kuta but Dalits are not allowed to sit in Saha Pankti Bhajana. His disciples had made statements that they will clean Krishna Math premises with cow dung as Dalits organised ‘Udupi Chalo’. This shows the mentality of the guru. All these are problems due to old age. He makes confusing statements, takes up confusing stands and is not conscious on what he speaks,” he said.
“Youngsters should be motivated to fight for their rights. They should ignite that spark and not allow anyone to extinguish it. Dr B R Ambedkar had this kind of spark throughout his life,” Mattu said.
“There are more than 4000 registered and non registered political parties in the nation. There is no wrong in forming more Ambedkar associations. But youngsters should have knowledge and accurately follow his principles,” he advised.
There are people who threaten to change of Constitution. But its is impossible to do so, he added.
Mattu spoke about privatization entering the reservation, with government handing many sectors such as banks to private entities. “Through demonitisation, the government is planning to shut down all banks. The Ambedkar Yuva Sene members should fight against private reservation. People are getting only 2% government jobs. Most of the reservation was kept for general category. But it should give a reservation quota based population,” he said.
“In 1992, the UPA government has introduced new economic policy by former Prime Minister Manamohan Singh. In the same year, Babri Masjid incident happened. Both these incidents were crucial. It caused huge loss to economic growth of India and caused problems. Manamohan Singh must have regretted his decision,” he said.
“I had spent most of my time Gujarat. I knew the history of Modi and he destroyed Gujarat, and now he is ruling India. His mistakes are hidden because of his glorious publicity. People are becoming aware of his lie. Modi is using religion as an intoxicating drug and hypnotizing the Hindu activists. This is happening more in Southern Karnataka. The cultural politics is manipulating Hindu young minds and it is always dangerous. But there were many who lost their life in the name of dedication and commitment. Brahmins are exploiting others and middle class are being harassed,” he said.
Till Constitution remains safe, we will be safe. It is impossible to change the Constitution, even if 100 people like Modi come. But they are weakening its strength by amending it again and again. Let all youth emerge as small Ambedkars and strengthen the community and the nation as well. They should fight against internal reservation, which is taking away employment.
