Mangaluru Dec 23: Mayor Bhaskar Moily along with former MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the new Mallikatte Circle built by Bhandary Builders, one of the renowned builders in the city, on Saturday December 22.
Speaking on the occasion Bhaskar Moily said," Bhandary Builders has contributed one more circle to Mangaluru. Earlier they have developed two circles at Kadri. Such kind of development for the city like Mangaluru coming from builders is always a welcome and such contribution is very necessary for Smart City like Mangaluru,”
Managing director of Bhandary Builders, Lakshmish Bhandary said," We have constructed this circle under corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund worth Rs 21 lac. We wanted to contribute in beautifying Mangaluru and hence this circle. We cannot do the same in all places. But if everyone contributes and do such development, then it will be useful for the overall growth of Mangaluru,”
So far under CSR funds, Bhandary Builders has constructed Vivekananda Park at Bejai, which was a dump yard earlier and Kadri Temple Circle. And the 40-year-old Ashwatha Katte near Mallikatte was beautified by Bhandary Builders. Bhandary Builders have taken the initiative to give Ashwatha Katte a facelift and also installed a unique artwork of a ‘Hand holding a tree’, which signifies ‘Save a tree concept,'
Managing director of Bhandary Builders, Lakshmish Bhandary had a vision to beautify the city and has shown more concern towards society and environment. Artist Rajendra Kediga has designed the circle.
Chairman AJ group of Institution A J Shetty, corporators D K Ashok Appi, Asha D’ Silva and others were present.
