Mangaluru: Serial accident at Pachanadi, 13 injured

Mangaluru, Dec 22: In a serial accident that took place on the evening of Saturday, December 22, involving a bus, car and a goods tempo, 13 persons sustained injuries. All are said to be out of danger.

As per details available, a bus plying from State Bank to Pachanadi, hit a Swift car and Tata Ace coming from opposite direction. It is said that the bus had the brake failure which resulted in the accident.

The drivers of the car and tempo were injured and taken to the hospital immediately. Other injured persons are bus passengers.

The driver of the bus fled from the spot, eye witnesses said.

The accident happened in a slop area of Pachanadi.

Police personal visited the place and are investigating.

    Brake Failure is absolutely nonsense. I am sure it is over speeding and reckless driving. Otherwise why will the driver run away.

    As usual he will appear in a court, get bail and back at the wheels in no time to kill someone someday.

    Government buses in city is the only solution. Nobody can control this. The bus association President is attending the Phone in program, what contributions they given for the Smart city. Spoiled the traffic system. Don't entertain them in the Phone in program.

    Why do the drivers run from the accident site ? These drivers license should be cancelled and they should be jailed.

    Kavita Sanil (Ex Mayor) is the corporator of Pachanady and she has fully neglected her area. The bridge was completed in July and the road was dug in August and still the condition of the road remains the same.No doubt Bondel church to Vamanjoor concrete has road has been laid in patches here and there and due to unscientific works are the rain water drains are filled and due to this the houses and compounds are flooded. In spite of repeated complaints no action . Within next months we have to be prepared for the floods.
