Mangaluru, Dec 22: St Christopher Association celebrated Christmas at Paschim Rehabilitation Center, Ullal Beeri on Friday December 21.
Honorary president Sushil Noronha distributing items necessary for daily use and Christmas Kuswar to the ashram residents said that God was born in the form of man in an ordinary family. “His birth was extraordinary. The way he grew up, spoke and spent time with people is an inspiration for several eras. He made his entire life meaningful for the poor, downtrodden and exploited section of society. It is our duty to follow his ideals. Visiting the weak, orphaned and exploited people and seeing smiles on their faces is the real meaning of Christmas.”
“Problems and difficulties in life are normal. Bearing them and praising God and thanking him are our offering to God. Therefore, let us join together and celebrate Christmas with joy,” he said.
All India Catholic union president Lancy D’Cunha introduced the association. Association president Francis D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Assistant secretary Leena D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Director of the ashram, Rohith explained the way Paschim Rehab ashram progressed. Association office bearers and executive committee members were present.
