Udupi: Bank employees to go on a day's nation-wide strike on December 21

Udupi, Dec 20: National president of Syndicate Bank Officers Association, U Shashidhar Shetty, has informed that All India Bank Officers Confederation has given a call for nation-wide strike of bank staff in pursuance of their demand for fulfillment of various demands.

The demands of bank officers include implementation of the 11th bipartite settlement relating to salary and perks, giving effect to wage revision at the earliest, striking a balance in the duties and work of officers, giving effect to five-day-week in banks, upward revision of pension of retired bank officials, giving preference to basic banking transactions, banning marketing of non-banking products, cancellation of New Pension Scheme and give effect to specific pension etc.

The strike also aims at registering protest against merger of Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank, and hike in health insurance premium of retired employees, Shetty explained at a press meet held on Wednesday December 19.

Office bearers of the association, Shankar Kundapur, Rakesh, Avinash Hegde, Dinesh Pai and Aravind Shetty were present.

    Bank employees never satisfy with thier salary, and thier demands endless. Modiji let close all the banks and open post offices in every where. Or these employees hours of work must increase. specially in SBI branches customers are in Q waiting for thier work like railway station.
    At least employees should have in their mind what kind job and what type of service customers required from them. Many times in many banks some employee acts with the customer like they are in police station.

    There are no recruitment's for the Banks and heavy load pounced upon the existing employees.

    Due to Demonetisation most of the businesses, industries were closed. NPA's were arose.

    Jobless rates have been increased, yet there are no recruitment allowed.

    POLITICIANS ARE NOT STRIKING FOR THEIR SALARY AND PERKS INCREMENTS.

    FOR THE POLITICIANS INCREASE OF SALARY AND PERKS WAS MADE EASY AND AUTOMATIC.

    WHERE AS THE BANKS AND THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES HAVE TO GO ON STRIKES FOR INCREASE IN SALARIES.

    THEREFORE THE CHAAIWAALA GOVERNMENT SHOULD INCREASE THEIR SALARIES AS PER THEIR DEMAND WHICH IS RIGHT WHICH IS IMPERATIVE AND IMMINENT.


    I SUPPORT BOTH THE CLERICAL AND OFFICERS BANK UNIONS STRIKES.

    LET THE GOVERNMENT OPEN ITS EYES AND STOP GOVERNMENT GOING ON TOURS WORLD WIDE FROM BANK EMPLOYEES TAX PAYMENTS.

    These Bank employees never satisfied in their salary. Presently salary is very high but still strike. Comparatively with other job, bank staff is having less work and more holidays . Only few rank officers have some risk in their job if they are not perfect.
