Mangaluru, Dec 8: In an incident which goes to show that there could be kind hearts behind the uniforms worn by police personnel, Bhagyashree, attached to the traffic police station here, was seen extending kindness, care and comfort to an old, weak gentleman. This happened at Netravati bridge at Jappinamogaru here on national highway 66.
An old man, aged around 65, perhaps suffering from weakness and hunger, had collapsed to the road when moving on Jappinamogaru bridge. Traffic police constable Bhagyashree, who saw the pitiable condition of the man, rushed to his help. She gave him water to drink and food to eat. Later, after he recovered, she also arranged to shift him to a hospital.
Bhagyashree's gesture in taking time off to help an old man in distress has come in for lavish praise from all the quarters.
