Hubballi, Dec 2: Former chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah ridiculed state BJP president Yeddyurappa and senior BJP leader Eshwarappa saying that their dream of becoming CM will not be realized.
Speaking to the media Siddaramaiah said, "BJP is saying that the coalition government of Congress and JD (S) is going to fall after the expansion of ministerial cabinet. BJP has not got clear majority. We do not know why they still dream of this happening? The dream of Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa of occupying the seat of CM of Karnataka will never realize. Coalition government is secure without any issues."
"Coalition government will not collapse for any reason. No one has given any complaint against me to the high command. This is just a rumour. Congress MLAs are not neglected in the coalition government. The MLAs of our party have not showed any urgency to expand the ministry. There is no shortage of grant to the Indira Canteen scheme. However, BJP is trying to play politics in this matter. About the expansion of the cabinet, decision will be taken in the coordination committee meeting that will be held on December 5," clarified Siddaramaiah.
Continuing his barrage against BJP, Siddaramaiah further said, "Central government is not showing any interest in the implementation of Lokpal Bill. Prime minister Narendra Modi speaks a lot about corruption. However, why the PM is not implementing Lokpall Bill?"
Speaking about the issue faced by sugarcane farmers, the former CM said, "The pending amount of sugarcane will be made available to them soon. In addition, we will give instructions to buy sugarcane at the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) set by the central government."
