Udupi, Nov 21: The inaugural issue of reformatted news magazine ‘The Manipal Link’, will be released by Gurcharan Das, renowned author, columnist, and management consultant, and Ramachandra Gowda, state minister for medical education, at the convocation ceremony of Manipal University on Saturday November 22. It will be released soon after the vice-chancellor’s address.
The University bi-monthly has been given a new look and Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor, Manipal University, is the chairman of the editorial advisory board of the magazine. Dr H Vinod Bhat, planning and development executive director and international programmes director of the University is the editor-in-chief.
Divvy Kant Upadhyay from KMC Manipal, is the editor of the magazine. The magazine will carry news items from all Manipal University Institutions as well as news from offshore campuses of the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG). It will also feature special articles from selected contemporary thinkers and experts.
The readership of the magazine will include thousands of students studying at the 21 institutions of Manipal University, teachers and professors, members at sister organizations of MEMG, and thousands of Manipal alumni spread all over the globe. The magazine is an in-house publication meant for private circulation only.
