Mangalore, Nov 20: The second parabolic plant of Lamina Suspension Products, was recently inaugurated by Jacques Colaert, managing director, Weweler -Colaert of Belgium. Colaert said that the opening of the second plant by Lamina, a leader in spring manufacturing in the country, is a significant development in cementing the long term association between the two companies.
Lamina has established itself as a leading exporter of automobile springs and a 15-year association with Weweler, a leader in automobile springs worldwide, has further strengthened the bond, he said.
Vinay Hegde, managing director, Lamina Suspension Products Limited, presided over the function. He reiterated Lamina’s commitment to quality and added that its long association with Weweler-Colaert is a testimony to its commitment.
Hegde said that from its early beginnings in Baikampady in 1978, Lamina now has an annual turnover of over Rs 150 crore and has emerged a principal exporter in the automobile sector. He thanked all those who have been instrumental in being a part of the unprecedented success achieved by the company.
Guruprasad Adyanthaya, director (marketing), Lamina, and T R Shenoy, director (technical), were present. B S Baliga, chief executive officer, welcomed and Vishal Hegde, director, proposed the vote of thanks.
