Mangalore, Nov 17: A felicitation programme is being organized by the Mangalore University at the new senate hall of the University here on Tuesday November 18 at 3 pm to honour international athlete Poovamma.

Poovamma and her coach Dinesh Kundar will be felicitated for their achievement in the field of sports and winning laurels at various national and international championships.

P Dayanand Pai, member of the University syndicate and Rajiv Mehta, joint executive president of Grasim Industries Mumbai will participate as chief guests.

Vice-chancellor Prof Kaveriappawill preside over the function.
