Udupi, Nov 10: MCC bank is all set to launch mobile banking services. Apart from this, the bank will open five new ATMs in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts in November-December. The bank will also start e-Stamping, pan card, senior card facilities in selected branches and mobile banking services will be launched too.
Addressing a press meet held at Udupi press club here on Saturday, November 10, Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC Bank said, “MCC bank has a history of 106 years and it has successfully stayed strong in banking sector. The bank achieved this fete in spite of facing difficult competition. The new bank administration has taken many initiatives to bring in developments. In just two months it has introduced five major plans. We already have facilities like RTGS/NEFT banking, including this it will start IMPS soon to provide quick economic services. The RBI has granted permission for our bank to provide NRI services.”
Lobo said that Kankanady and B C Road branches are renovated as fully air-conditioned branches.
“We had a long time plan of opening NRI cell and to organise huge NRI convention. The renovated branch with air-conditioned facility and ATM counter at B C road will be inaugurated on November 18 at 9 am. At the same, we are going to inaugurate our new ATM at Bajpe, in Dakshina Kannada on November 25. The launch ceremony of mobile banking, e-Stamping, pan card and senior card facilities will be held at Bajpe,” he said.
Meanwhile, the renovated air-conditioned Kankanady branch and ATM will be inaugurated on December 2. The NRI cell will be inaugurated on November 16, at the same time the NRI customer’s convention will be held near St Aloysius College, Mangaluru.
“We are aiming to provide better service with customer friendly approach,” said Anil Lobo and urged the support from the public to implement banking plans successfully.
Anil further said, “We have obtained Rs 3.5 crores of profit last year. Though we were affected due to demonetization, we have tried to achieve maximum target. We are also providing 10% dividend as well. We also plan the future balance sheet.”
Jerald D'Silva, vice-chairman, Elroy Kiran Crasto, in-charge of Udupi Kundapur, Sunil, General Manager, Irene Rebello, director Mangaluru, David D’souza and Herald D’souza were present.
