Udupi, Nov 9: Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh organised an informative programme for the students of Udupi diocese on 'Higher studies and job opportunities in overseas countries,' held at Catholic Sabha office hall, here on Thursday, November 8.
Dr Guruthej, international education advisor and Ajay D'souza, information coordinator from Minority Welfare Department were the resource persons.
Dr Guruthej imparted knowledge about overseas education and which universities across the globe are the best destinations for pursuing higher studies. “Australia is best for global study, but one should go ahead with plan and foresighted vision. India is prosperous than other countries, but we are not good enough in utilizing the same. There are non-government institutions offering scholarships to merit students. Most of the top serving businessmen, industrialists are Indian, but serving in other countries. There are vast opportunities for pursuing higher studies overseas. A student must get education with good vision,” he advised.
Another resource person Ajay gave information on scholarships provided by the government like Arivu, Vidyasiri and others. Valerian, Fr Alfans Dlima, parish priest, Kota church, Mary and others were present.
