Karkala, Nov 16: A two-day national workshop on 'advances in electronics and communications' was organized by the electricals and electronics department of Nitte Mahalinga Adyantaya Memorial Institute of Technology, in association with Tequip on Friday November 14 in the college premises.
Speaking on the occasion after inaugurating the workshop, prof L S Srinivas, former director, IIT Chennai, said that people learn through mistakes. The technological aspects of electronics and ommunications can be strengthened by conducting a thorough analysis of the errors in electrical fields and finding proper solutions to them.
Dr S Y Kulakarni, principal, Nitte Engineering College, presided over the function.
About 20 papers submitted by students from Goa, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and other places were presented at the workshop. The papers submitted by the invited Mumbai IIT research scholars were also presented at the workshop.
Dr Shreesha, head of the department, welcomed the gathering. Nayana compered the programme.
Vasudev Shettigar delivered the key note address on the occasion. Nayana T Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
