Dubai: ‘Melody Star’ Maxim Pereira to present concert in February

Dubai, Nov 7: There is happy news for the Konkani music lovers of UAE. To kick start the year 2019 , ‘ Melody Star ‘ Maxim Pereira will present a perfect new year gift to the Konkani audience by presenting his live in concert under the banner of Maestro Events UAE on 1 February 2019 at Emirates Theatre Dubai at 5.30 pm.

‘Melody Star’ Maxim Pereira will present this show along with local famed singers of Konkani and the top notch artistes of Band G Major, a unit of ‘Glorious’ led by Music Maestro Roshan D’Souza Angelore. Along with foot-tapping dancing numbers of music, the artistes of team ‘Saangon Mugdana Kalakar’ will entertain the audience through their rib-tickling skits.

About Maxim Pereira 

Maxim Pereira Angelore, popularly known to his fans as ‘Baila Boom Maxim’, because of his famous audio cassette ‘Baila Boom’ was born in Angelore, a place known as a ‘Cradle of Talents’ in Mangaluru. Maxim is married to Nisha and is the father of Abigail.

“Youth is the right time for your achievements when you can realize all your dreams Try repeatedly before your youth fades away, and you will definitely succeed” With this mantra, talent and forceful drive he rightly bagged the honour of ‘Yuva Pratibha’ at the ‘Konkani Darbar-2002’. Maxim was awarded the title ‘Melody Star’ by Pearls of Mangalore, a Konkani speaking association in Abu Dhabi on 2 December 2011.

As a boy Maxim was in the Angelore parish choir. The encouragement from the Choir Master, his parents, family and friends, inspired him to improve his musical talents. Right from childhood, Maxim used to sing and practice music every day. He used to sing in church gatherings, take part in music competitions, sing songs in get-togethers, and win appreciation from public. He was awarded the first place for three consecutive years in the Kala Sampath inter-parish singing competition, in Mangaluru.
Maxim has judged several singing competitions and he trains young budding singers and prepares them for various competitions.

He took Konkani music to his heart and reaped the taste of success step by step. He built up Angelore's 'Glorious' band 22 years ago. Today the 'G Major" band under the wing of Glorious Angelore is a renowned name in Mangaluru.

Another milestone achieved by Maxim, through the making of ‘Manasa’ Konkani telefilm, a dream project, was released on 2 August 2015 at Cordel Church Hall Mangalore. Adding on another feather to the cap, first-of- its kind Konkani-Tulu dual language film ‘Ashem Zalem Kashem was released in 2017 was directed by Maxim under the banner of Glorious Angelore Productions.

At present Maxim heads the Graphics 'n' Signs, G Major Music group and The School of Music in Mangaluru. He has 13 music albums, 12 Maxim Musical Nites and over 50 stage shows to his credit. He has performed in Mangaluru, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain with huge success in addition to in Door Darshan and Chandana channels.

Organizers are expecting this as a complete sell-out show much before the event day. Hence all the Konkani music lovers are requested to mark this day.
