Puttur, Nov 5: Hindu organisation activist Chaithra Kundapur and others accused will have to spend few more days in jail. Their judicial custody with regard to clash in Subramanya has been extended. Therefore, Chaithra and others will have to remain in judicial custody till November 19.
The court which held hearing in this connection on Saturday, November 3 had asked Chaithra and her six accomplices to be presented personally in Puttur court on Monday, November 5. The judge questioned the reasons for Chaithra getting treated in the hospital though she appeared to be in good health. The judge asked the doctor who treated Chaithra and jail superintendent to be present in the court on Monday and provide details of medical treatment provided to Chaithra.

Therefore, police produced Chaithra and her accomplices in the court. Mangaluru jail superintendent and the doctor who treated Chaitra were also present in the court. The doctor who submitted a medical report of Chaithra stated that she is in good health.
It may be recalled, Guruprasad, had sustained serious injuries on his head, and was admitted into the government hospital here after the ugly spat between two groups on October 25. Subramanya police, had taken into custody Chaithra Kundapur and seven others.
Guruprasad Panja was granted conditional bail by the Sullia court on November 3.
