Mangaluru: Glittering Goodudeepas mesmerize audiences at Kudroli temple

Mangaluru, Nov 5: Artistically and tastefully made Goodudeepas were arranged in the premises of Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple on Sunday November 4. The contest was held under the aegis of 'Namma Kudla' channel.

The contest was held under three categories, traditional, modern, and unique model. There was tremendous response from the people for the contest. Replicas of Kudroli and Sabarimala temples, huge palanquin etc succeeded in making the people gaping at them in awe for longer than others.

The contest was inaugurated by former minister, J Krishna Palemar. He hailed the contest for gaining in popularity with each passing year and creating a festive environment at the temple.



Treasurer of Kudroli temple development committee, Padmaraj, called upon the peopleto make an honest effort to bring cheers and light in the lives of others just like their Goodudeepas that are spreading light,.

President of the temple development committee, H S Sairam, presided. Committee members, Dr Anusuya Salian, Devendra Poojary, Madhava Suvarna, Harish karkera and Dr B G Suvarna were present.

Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli welcomed. Kadri Navneet Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Organizer, Dinesh Suvarna Rayi, presented the programme. Gold medals were awarded to the winning and runner up Goodudeepas while silver medals were presented to third prize winners. On this occasion, different awards and felicitations were also accorded.
