Moodbidri: Gantalkatte attack case - Accused held, sent to five-day judicial custody

Moodbidri, Oct 27: Police, on Friday October 26, arrested an accused for attacking a restaurant owner in Gantalkatte.

Guruprasad (36), resident of Suratkal is the arrested person.

Imthiaz, proprietor of Badriya hotel in Gantalkatte has been conducting business for the last one year. A man who arrived in Innova car on September 24 at 6 pm ordered for ten cups of tea. When Imthiaz went to the kitchen to prepare tea, the person who ordered for tea and three of his accomplices attacked Imthiaz with machetes. Imthiaz meanwhile ran and escaped from them.

A case was registered on the basis of a police complaint by Ibrahim who was present during the attack. Police made the arrest of Guruprasad based on the complaint.
