Kundapur, Oct 25: “The dream of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa of becoming the chief minister of the state will remain a dream. MP Shobha Karandlaje is day dreaming about it. Shobha is in illusion. Siddaramaiah and Shobha live on lies,” said former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah. He was speaking at the campaign meeting held on Thursday, October 25 at Nagoori, Byndoor Vidhan Sabha constituency.
“Congress and JD(S) will work together in the upcoming by-elections. There are no differences among us. We will forget the past and continue our coalition in the next Lok Sabha elections. Defeating communal BJP is our aim. Our candidates will win all the five constituencies in the by- elections. Coalition candidate Madhu Bangarappa will be successful this time.
“Our government did sincere work for five years when I was the chief minister and served people of all categories. We helped the poor providing seven kilo rice per month. But we won only three seats in the coastal region. We do not understand our fault. Voters should think about it.
“Am I not a Hindu? Are not Madhu, Jayamala, Pramod, and Sorake Hindus? Hindutva does not give food to survive. BJP is misleading people.
“Yeddyurappa is the one who went to prison. State leaders do not open their mouth in front of PM Modi. Ache din kabh ayega? Why does not Modi waive farm loans? He had said that would not take bribes, nor let anyone do so. Rafale scam is one of the biggest scams in the country. Where did Rs 40 thousand crore go? How is it that your colour changed here?” he asked.
“Bangarappa was a former chief minister from Congress. Social justice is in Madhu Bangarppa’s blood. Voters will understand the reality this time,” he said.
Minister Zameer Ahmed said that Madhu Bangarappa has huge concern for poor. “The coalition government is strong and the problems in the coast will be solved soon.”
Lok Sabha by-election candidate Madhu Bagarappa said that several families in rural areas have developed due to help from Bangarappa. “I will do development beyond my capacity in the remaining four and a half months.”
