Karkala, Oct 23: Bright Group, well known for pro society work in Belman has been clearing grass grown in Sooda and Jantra through a day’s voluntary community work and supplying it to the cattle byre at Neelavar during the last four years. They held their fifth year’s cattle feeding day in the leadership of elders on Sunday, October 21.
Thirty members of the sangha, indulged in the work. President of the sangha, Nithin Devadiga, secretary Raviraj Kulal, treasurer Nithish, social worker Jerry L D’ Souza, Sathish Devadiga, Sudhir Devadiga and others took part.
The sangha which is popular in the village as it tries to help farmer tide over scarcity of water by improving ground water level and work as voluntary workers during difficulties faced by villagers has taken the leadership in maintaining Sooda crematorium, provide basic necessities and for development work.
