Mangaluru, Oct 20: Canara Electric and Refrigeration Co (CERCo) which had a humble beginning in 1988 has grown to be a leader in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, meeting expectations of customers and providing value added service over the last three decades.
CERCo celebrated 30 years of existence with renewed energy by opening a new outlet near New Chitra Junction recently.
Canara Electric and Refrigeration Co, provides air conditioners, deep freezers, water coolers, water dispensers of all brands. This outlet even consists of refrigeration, air conditioning and washing machine spares, compressors, ice plant and ammonia spares, refrigerant gases, voltage stabilizers, thermocol, glass wool, insulation materials, copper pipes and materials.
CERCo had opened its first branch in 1988 at Bunder under the leadership of Laxmipat Nahata. Nahata who was in Bengaluru had decided to set up an outlet in Mangaluru after being advised by his friend.
During initial days, it was an uphill task for Laxmipat Nahata to set up this outlet because it was a new place for him and he did not know the local language. Nahata travelled across Mangaluru for a while to know the atmosphere of the city, before starting his business.
"The level of education and courtesy of people made me start my business in Mangaluru. People of Mangaluru are kind hearted, and I could envision my future in this region. I have been residing in Mangaluru for the last 30 years and have succeeded in my business with the help of Mangalureans to whom I will always be grateful,” says Nahata.
"With the same energy and enthusiasm, we opened a new outlet near New Chitra Junction and expect the same support from the people of Mangaluru. We hope for a great future in Mangaluru, and are confident that the market is good as the connectivity and the standard of living has improved a lot,” he adds.
