Mangaluru: Gymnasium inaugurated at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Oct 17: Vincent Prakash Carlo, proprietor, Carlo's Gym, inaugurated the newly built gym at Milagres College on Wednesday, October 17.

Fr Valerian D’Souza, correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal, Venezia Carlo, Gold Medal winning Power Lifter, and Yogesh B M, physical instructor were present.

Inaugurating the gym, Vincent Carlo said, “I do believe that gym classes do help students’ brain perform better. It helps get them energised. By working out at gyms, they will be able to stay focused longer and concentrate on the task at hand. Gym is fun and keeps students healthy. Besides this, it helps them to some go for personal achievements. If students are interested in sports and games, they need to work out in gym. It gives them more flexibility and physical fitness. If they want to become power lifters or weight lifters, gym will be essential to them. Knowing all these things, the management of Milagres College built a new gym. I appreciate the management. It show how concerned the college is about its students.”



Fr Valerian blessed the gym and said, “Hope this gym will produce more athletes and they will shine at national level. It is my kind request to students to make proper use of the gym. Proper use of it will make you disciplined and healthier.”

Fr Michael Santhumayor welcomed the guests and gathering.
