Kasargod: Body of Jamaat president found floating in pond

Kasargod, Oct 7: The mortal remains of Moosa Pallattimar (70) were found from in a pond in a farm near his home on Friday October 5. Moosa was the president of Kodyame Jamaat.

As the locals expressed suspicion about this death the police arranged to shift the body to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital here for postmortem.

Moosa had left his home along with a grass cutter at 4.30 pm to cut grass in his farm. The family members heard the sound made by the grass cutter till 5.30 pm. The sound stopped thereafter. As Moosa did not return home for long, his daughter, Naseema, went to the farm looking for him but failed to find him there.

Sometime later, the family members went to search for him again. They found footwear of Moosa near a pond. They alerted the police. The police worked alongside firemen to search for Moosa and succeeded in finding the body of Moosa inside the pond. His cellphone was found inside the shirt he was wearing. But the grass cutter and its belt were not to be found anywhere.

The deceased has left behind wife, four daughters, and two sons.

    Very sad.Iam sure it was a accidental death.Probably he wanted to cut some gras around the pond and fell accidentally in Pond with gras cutter.we all know it must have worked as hair dryer in water. it must be inside the pond.sinc eit is heavy.when gras cutter was on fell in pond got a electric shock and died I suppose.Never ever with electric laden goods get into water.Heartfelt sympathy to the family. May his soul rest in peace.
