Bengaluru, Oct 6: BJP has been drawing up strategies towards bagging maximum seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. It has now planned to set up over 12 call centres all over Karnataka to have communication on a regular basis between party workers, Shakthi Kendra heads, and presidents of booth committees for putting together information and to strengthen the party.
A decision on this issue was taken at a meeting of BJP district presidents held at the state BJP office here on Thursday October 4. Depending on the size of the constituencies, it has planned to open 12 to 15 such call centres within the next two weeks.

The call centre employees will regularly keep in touch with party workers, heads of Shakthi Kendras, booth committee presidents, and presidents, and other important functionaries of the party. Information about their activities, proposed programmes, response of the people, challenges and other information would be pooled by them. The call centre staff will prepare a list of people holding smart phones, motor bike users and people equipped with certain other facilities at the booth level. They will also be monitoring and collecting information about registration of new members, attracting new voters, methods to woo young voters etc.
Instructions have been issued to put together equipment, staff, and other supportive items needed to begin the call centres within the next 15 days. These centres work as a link between the party and its workers, the party sources claim.
