Bangalore: St Vincent Palloti Church Celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava Day

Bangalore, Nov 1: St Vincent Palloti Church parishioners celebrated the Karnataka Rajyotsava Day on Saturday Nov 1.



The celebration began with the holy mass at 10 am, followed by cultural programmes in which all communities actively participated.

After the inaugural, parish priest Fr Phillip in his address, thanked all the parishioners for coming together and organizing this wonderful programme. He said, that Karnataka is rich in cultural heritage and people from all cultures come together in a common platform to share our joy on this occasion to create a  harmonious environment. In spite of global recession, we all should stand together because unity gives strength, he advised. Language and culture are the gifts of the Lord, he added.

    Thanks to Fr. Philip in encouraging us to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava Day in our parish. The parishioners of the different communities came together in oneness to make it a memorable family event. A word of praise to the organizing committee who did a superb job!!!! Thanks to Jessie Rodrigues for the efforts taken.

    It is great.......... !! should appreciate the Parish Priest Rev.Fr Philip and the parisheners for the determination that all communities should come together to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava, irrespective of languages to make the fuction in grand success.Board used on the back is not measurable also not intenional.

    It was a memorable family event that that displayed a sense of unity amongst diversity in our parish community.Congratulations to all . While reading through some of the comments , I feel one must appreciate the efforts put in by the parishoners to bring our community together. The language used on the back is not a measure of the level of understanding of the parishoners of our church.

    What an insult, look at the background its written in English "Kannada Rajotsava" is English way of celebrating Rajotsava, why couldn't they write in Kannada, as the meaning of Rajotsava is celebrating making of Karnataka state & Kannada language and culture. Probably St. Vincent Palloti church doesn't understand.
