Mangaluru: Louis J Pinto re-elected president of `Mandd Sobhann'

Mangaluru, Sep 21: Louis J Pinto was re-elected the president of leading Konkani cultural organisation `Mandd Sobhann' for the year 2018-19 in the 32nd general body meeting held in Kalangan on Friday, September 21.

Executive committee members were also elected in the meeting. Irene Rebello was elected as vice-president, Eric Ozario as Gurkar, Stany Alvares as organiser, Kishore Fernandes as secretary, and Naveen Lobo was elected as assistant secretary.

Arun Raj Rodrigues and Victor Mathais were elected as treasurer and public relations officer respectively.

    "Mandh Sobhann" to be considered as an important Organization in Mangalore because it has earned all the name and fame for their untiring contribution to our Konkany Society far and beyond Mangalore. Whenever we are in Mangalore on out vacation we have always shown our keenness to know what's happening at Kala Anghan, which is our beloved site in Mangalore for enhancing our Konkany Performing Arts. Reputed people such as Louie Pinto, Eric Ozario, Roy Castelino and many others are very dear to us, and we have our highest regards for all that they do for our community.

    We have not been able to render much help to Mandh Sobhann so far, but that is not the end of the story. We owe our obligations towards Mandh Sobhann in the future that is ahead of us.

    Let us therefore appreciate all the efforts rendered by the group that has given so much for the welfare and success of Mandh Sobhann, and let us assure them all our help in the future. We are proud of Mandh Sobhann for all that they have dedicated to our Community so far
