Mangalore, Oct 17: Asit Pal, who was hitherto functioning as the executive director of Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as the executive director of the city-based Corporation Bank.

Asit Paul, having qualified as chartered accountant, started his career as an officer in Allahabad Bank. In 1978, he was absorbed as the Officer-Chartered Accountant of Bank of Baroda.

After working in various branches of the Bank besides regional and divisional offices apart from administrative offices in various positions, he had worked as the internal auditor at the England and Brussels branches of the bank.

After coming back to India, he headed the advances department, industrial finance branch and corporate branch of the bank.

He was serving as the general manager of the risk management department of the bank after getting promoted to that post in 2005. He has undergone various training programmes and has exposure to various banking operations.
