Bantwal, Oct 16: The policemen belonging to the district crime intelligence bureau have taken into custody three persons, on the suspicion that they have been extending help to terrorists. The policemen, based on reliable leads, swooped down on their residences and took them away for interrogation,.
In the meantime, an informant who used to clandestinely operate as an informer of Students Islamic Movement of India, succeeded in fleeing from the spot, during the raid. The policemen have launched a manhunt to nab him.
The missing person is said to have eloped with a girl from a scheduled community a few years ago and stayed at Mumbai and Kerala, before coming back to his native place some time back. It is believed, that the policemen got clue about his terrorist connections, through his mobile conversations.
The team is intensively questioning the brother of the missing person.
