Udupi: Software Engineer from Bangalore Drowns at Malpe

Udupi, Oct 13: Vignette Kalantari (28), a software engineer working in Bangalore, drowned at Malpe beach near here, while trying to swim in the sea waters on Sunday October 12.

Kalantari, a native of Tiruvanantapuram, Kerala, had come here on a tour, along with his colleagues and friends. It is said, he did not know swimming. Though the boatmen rescued him and took him to the hospital, doctors could not revive him.

Malpe police have registered a case in this regard.
