Byndoor: Electrical shop gutted in fire due to short circuit, loss estimated up to Rs 20 lac

Byndoor, Jul 30: A massive fire gutted an electrical shop following electric short circuit here in Uppunda on Monday July 30.

The fire broke out in the shop owned by Suresh Poojary on national highway 66 in Uppunda. The fire also spread towards a nearby bakery and fancy shop.

The owner has claimed loss of Rs 20 lac in the mishap. All the electrical items which were kept for sale and also items brought to the shop for repair were destroyed in the blaze.

The fire service was called on to the spot who successfully doused the fire.
