Udupi: NSUI condemns rape of MP minor

Media Release

Udupi, Jul 4: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) of the district has condemned the rape of a seven-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh and demanded death penalty for the accused.

“Crime against women and girl child in India are on rise despite tougher laws. As per the NCRB data Madhya Pradesh tops the list of rape cases which is really shameful. Madhya Pradesh can be called the rape capital. The chief minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan led BJP government has failed completely to provide security to women and girls in the state.

“When it comes to rape case, no excuses need to be made irrespective of religion, caste, creed and the culprits need to be given death penalty. The state government should extend justice to the minor girl by issuing top punishment to the culprit.”
