Tumakuru, Jul 1: In a horrible incident, a lady, who got angry at the impediments created by her husband in her illicit relationship, joined her lover and murdered her husband. She then burnt his body after pouring petrol.
The accused stands arrested by police personnel of Kora station in the district.
The charred remains of a man had been found on June 17 near Somasagara gate in the taluk. The complaint thereof was registered in Kora police station, and probe had been undertaken. The police succeeded in finding out the identity of the deceased person and reason behind his death. Reportedly, the deceased, Nagananda, was killed as he opposed the relationship his wife, Sangeetha, had developed with another person. She is said to have planned to kill her husband with the help of her lover.
OnJune 16, Sangeetha allegedly took her husband to her native place, made him to drink large quantity of liquor, and after he got heavily intoxicated, killed him by dropping a boulder on his head. Then, helped by paramour, she reportedly ignited fire after dousing his body with petrol.
