Karwar: Mini truck - car collision, three from family perish

Karwar, Jun 27: After a mini truck and a car got involved in an accident on Tuesday June 26, three persons of the same family lost their lives. The accident happened between a mini lorry and a car near Chikkamavalli bus stand near Kiruvavatti in Sirsi taluk.

The victims were Vinayak Hegde (40) from Araginamane near Bakkala in Sirsi taluk, his wife, Archana Hegde (35), and daughter, Shravani Hegde (1). Vinayak's other daughter, five-year-old Archana Hegde, survived with injuries.

The lorry was moving towards Yallapur from the direction of Hubballi while the car was bound for Belagavi from Yallapur.
