Bengaluru, Jun 26: “Though the people had forgotten the JD(S) while voting, I became the chief minister by God's grace”, said CM HD Kumaraswamy here on Monday, June 25 at an event to lay the foundation stone of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) Centre of Excellence and Innovation.
Addressing the gathering, Kumaraswamy said that he would have taken decisions if his party formed the government on its own instead of alliance with other parties. Evoking laughter from the gathering, he said, "Everyone is in a hurry to get their work done. They think I will be CM only for brief period,”
"No one understands my position. Had we formed government independently, I would have made my own decisions. I also have to consider the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2004. The state has been preparing surplus budgets for the past 8-10 years, so I do not want to do that. The government is here to stay and the coalition government is different from the previous JD(S)-Congress government,” he added.
“We are mulling to implement zero budget natural farming on the lines of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
After laying the foundation stone of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) Centre of Excellence and Innovation, Kumaraswamy said that the Centre will be set up on a 4.5-acre plot at the Dobbaspet industrial cluster with facilities including an international exhibition centre, an international marketing centre and an R and D testing centre.
