Bengaluru: Barbaric attack on Vidwath in pub - Nalapad's associates get bail

Bengaluru, Jun 24: The 63rd sessions court here on Saturday June 23, granted bail to all he five accomplices of Mohammed Nalapad, accused in savagely attack on Vidwath, son of entrepreneur, Lokanathan.

Judge of the court, Parameshwar Prasanna, who heard the bail application moved by the five accused, granted conditional bail to all of them. The accused have spent four months behind the bars so far.

Main accused in the case, Mohammed Nalapad, and Abhishek had recently been granted bail by the high court. The judge, who observed that the police have completed their investigation in the case and filed charge sheet, passed an order granting bail to all of them. With this order, accused Manjunath, Mahamad Ashraf, Mahamad Nasir, Arun Babu and Balakrishna, who were in the central prison at Parappana Agrahara here since February 19, have been permitted to walk free.

The court has spelt out bail conditions like provision of bonds for two lac rupees each, surety by two persons, not leaving the city without court's prior permission, not to try to destroy evidence, and that they should appear for hearing as and when summoned.
