New Delhi, Sep 21: Three more suspected terrorists allegedly involved in the New Delhi serial blasts, have been arrested, taking the number of those caught in the terror attack to five, the police said on Sunday.
"The three identified as Zia, Shakeel and Shakir-ur-Rahman were arrested from a south Delhi locality," a senior police officer said.
He said Zia and Shakeel were involved in the July 26 Ahmedabad serial blasts that claimed more than 55 lives.
Two HuJI militants wanted in connection with the serial blasts in Delhi and Ahmedabad were killed in a fierce encounter on September 19.
Out of the 14 people suspected to have been involved in the Delhi blasts that claimed 24 lives, five, including the three who were picked up on Sunday, have been arrested so far and two were killed in an encounter on Friday.
The Delhi police had yesterday claimed that they have uncovered the conspiracy behind the attacks in the capital, Jaipur and in Ahmedabad, and said they were carried out by terrorists of the Indian Mujahideen and Students Islamic Movement of India in league with the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayiba.
